Remembering Lakewood man who was walking on the sidewalk was struck and killed by a NJ Transit bus   LAKEWOOD — A man walking on the sidewalk was struck and killed by a NJ Transit bus as it turned into a terminal park lot Monday night, according to a report by The Lakewood Scoop. Surveillance video  obtained by The Scoop shows the bus turning left from Route 88 into the Lakewood bus terminal as the man walks across the entrance around 10 p.m. and doesn't stop as the bus comes towards the sidewalk. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer identified the man only as being 32-years-old.  Remember Woman struck and killed by NJ Transit train in Little Falls, October  7, 2021 An unidentified woman was killed after being struck by a New Jersey Transit train in Little Falls on Thursday morning, a spokesman for the transit company confirmed. At 7:32 a.m., the woman was struck by a Montclair-Boonton line train bound for Hoboken, the spokesperson said. The strike happened just west of Main and Dewey streets, near the Wayne border. Rail service on the Montclair-Boonton Line was suspended in both directions between Denville and Montclair State University.

Remember Bound Brook Man John Kardos, a 47-year-Killed By NJ Transit Train in Bridgewater- Sep 4, 2010 New Jersey Transit Police are investigating the death of a 40-year-old male who was struck and killed by a Raritan-bound New Jersey Transit train around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The man was identified as John Kardos, a 47-year-old Bound Brook resident, though the medical examiner has not determined an official cause of death, according to NJ Transit Spokesman Dan Stessel. "I can tell you that this individual stepped on to the track, and made no apparent effort to get out of the way of the train," Stessel said. "The investigation remains open until we have autopsy results."

Remember pedestrian struck and killed on track in Bound Brook  NJ Transit officials are investigating a train strike that killed a pedestrian on track in Bound Brook on Tuesday morning.  According to preliminary information, NJ Transit Police responded to a person hit by a train near the Bound Brook train station before 3:15 a.m.  Upon arrival, police found a severely injured and unidentified person lying on the tracks.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  NJ Transit Police will lead the investigation, and there were no injuries reported on board the train.

 Remember Juvenile Struck and Killed by NJ Transit Train Near Maplewood Station MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A juvenile female died today on the train tracks west of the Maplewood NJ Transit station.  The non-revenue train X667 was enroute to Dover from Penn Station New York; no passengers were aboard. The girl was struck and fatally injured at 12:15 p.m., confirmed Mariluz Garcia-Diaz, NJ Transit senior public information officer. Maplewood Police Department and Maplewood Fire Department responded quickly to the scene.  "The Morris-Essex line is temporarily suspended, but we are cross honoring the railroad tickets," Garcia-Diaz said. With the investigation ongoing, she could not estimate a time for the resumption of train service.
