Remembering Montclair, New Jersey man hit by an NJ Transit train engineer

  NJ Transit train hits pedestrian in Montclair; man seriously injured A NJ Transit train  struck a pedestrian near the Upper Montclair station Wednesday afternoon, an agency spokesperson confirmed. The man survived but was seriously injured, said Paul Milo of NJ Transit. He was rushed to a hospital after colliding with the outbound train shortly after 4:30 p.m. Transit police continue to investigate the incident.  Service was suspended along the Montclair-Boonton Line throughout the township's seven stations but quickly resumed with 45-minute delays.   12-year-old boy struck and killed by train By abc7NY Wednesday, September 22, 2010 HACKENSACK, NJ Caesar Muloki's family knew something was wrong late in the afternoon when the he hadn't come home. "I saw it on TV and I was wondering who it was," said Sarah Muloki, the victim's sister. Soon after that, police told them the devastating news. Caesar had been hit and killed by a NJ Transit train on his way home from Hackensack Middle School, less than a mile away. "He was a really, really good boy," said Prescilla Muloki, the victim's sister. Police believe Caesar was walking along the tracks on Railroad Avenue. They say he had headphones on and was listening to his iPod. With his back to the train, police believe he didn't see it coming. At the last minute, they say Caesar took a step into the path of the train. But there are conflicting accounts of what happened.
