Remember pedestrian struck and killed on track in Bound Brook 

NJ Transit officials are investigating a train strike that killed a pedestrian on track in Bound Brook on Tuesday morning. 

According to preliminary information, NJ Transit Police responded to a person hit by a train near the Bound Brook train station before 3:15 a.m. 

Upon arrival, police found a severely injured and unidentified person lying on the tracks. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

NJ Transit Police will lead the investigation, and there were no injuries reported on board the train.
