Remembering  Rodriguez Heriberto, Besty Colon and Monica DeJesus Who Were Killed By NJ Transit Deadly Bus Drive Crash- May 31, 2020 The 45-year-old driver, Rodriguez Heriberto, and his two passengers, Betsy Colon, 40, and Monica DeJesus, 42, were killed after their eastbound vehicle collided with a bus making a left turn from Route 38 west onto Pleasant Valley Avenue around 12:30 a.m., authorities said. The Philadelphia residents were pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver and a passenger were taken to Cooper University Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said. Remembering  Adeline Derephonse, age 53, of Irvington, NJ who was killed by Coach USA bus driver  The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a bus in South Orange on May 21 has been identified as Adeline Derephonse, age 53, of Irvington, NJ. The incident is being investigated by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the South Orange Police Department. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is active. Derephonse was stuck while in the intersection of South Orange Avenue and Valley Street in South Orange Village Center and pronounced dead on the scene. According to Thomas Fennelly of the ECPO, “The incident occurred at the intersection of South Orange Avenue and Valley Street. A female pedestrian was struck by a Coach USA bus.
