An unidentified woman was killed after being struck by a New Jersey Transit train in Little Falls on Thursday morning, a spokesman for the transit company confirmed.

At 7:32 a.m., the woman was struck by a Montclair-Boonton line train bound for Hoboken, the spokesperson said. The strike happened just west of Main and Dewey streets, near the Wayne border.

Rail service on the Montclair-Boonton Line was suspended in both directions between Denville and Montclair State University.
