  Pedestrian Struck And Killed By NJ Transit Bus Hit And Run In Lakewood Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on January 3, 2022, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Officers from the Lakewood Township Police Department responded to the entrance of the New Jersey Transit Bus Terminal on Route 88 in Lakewood in response to a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle. Responding Officers found a 32 year-old male victim lying by the side of the road. The victim was transported to Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, in Lakewood, where he was pronounced deceased. Subsequent investigation determined that the victim was struck by a New Jersey Transit bus.
