Justice For NJ Transit and Coach USA Victim Advocate Like To Remember John Keenan
PATERSON — A 46-year-old man was killed when he was hit by an NJ Transit bus on Main Street on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
John Keenan, of Paterson, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. 
Authorities said their preliminary investigation found that there was no indication the bus driver did anything wrong in the incident, which happened near Main and Mary streets at about 2 p.m.
NJ Transit officials said the bus was carrying 11 passengers at the time of the incident, none of whom were injured. The bus was part of Route No. 72, which runs between Newark and Paterson, officials said.

No other injuries were reported, but the Morris and Essex Line is subject to 45-minute delays between Morristown and Summit, an NJ Transit spokesperson told Patch at about noon Monday. But NJ Transit tweeted that, as of 12:30 p.m., the line was operating on or close to schedule in both directions. The incident occurred at about 8:45 a.m. Monday around the NJ Route 124 bridge.
