SUMMIT, NJ, (July 24, 2023) - A 29-year-old Scotch Plains man was killed after being hit by a Morris & Essex Line train near the Summit station at about 1:20 p.m., NJ Transit officials said.

Sadly, Evan Krupp died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The train that struck Krupp had 45 people aboard and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 2 p.m. A tragic incident near the Summit station involving an NJ Transit train resulted in the loss of Evan Krupp, a 29-year-old from Scotch Plains, Union County.
