No other injuries were reported, but the Morris and Essex Line is subject to 45-minute delays between Morristown and Summit, an NJ Transit spokesperson told Patch at about noon Monday. But NJ Transit tweeted that, as of 12:30 p.m., the line was operating on or close to schedule in both directions. The incident occurred at about 8:45 a.m. Monday around the NJ Route 124 bridge. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at Morristown Medical Center. NJ Transit did not identify them.
