 Remember 45-year-old Carl Rivera pedestrian struck by an NJ Transit deadly bus driver


MILLLVILLE – A 45-year-old pedestrian struck by a NJ Transit bus on Delsea Drive earlier this week died Thursday morning, according to police.

Carl Rivera of Newfield walked across the southbound lanes of Delsea Drive and was struck by the Route 553 bus, which was traveling south, at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Delsea Drive was closed to traffic at the Route 55 overpass during the investigation.

Rivera was flown to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The crash remains under investigation by Officer Rick Kott of the Millville Police Department Fatal Crash Investigation Unit.
