Justice For Kevin Thomas, 55-year-old by NJ Transit bus driver

A New Jersey Transit bus driver from Bloomfield was charged with vehicular homicide in the December death of a passenger.
Kevin Thomas, 55, of Newark, had been a passenger on the bus as it drove through Newark on Dec. 31, 2019, according to a release from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
According to Kathy Carter, a spokesperson for the prosecutor, Thomas was dragged by the driver, Fayola Howard, 34, of Bloomfield, after he disembarked the bus but attempted to re-board on Sanford Avenue near Mount Vernon Place.
The incident resulted in extensive injuries, from which Thomas died a week later on Jan. 6.
Howard was trying to board a plane at Newark Airport when she was arrested, the Prosecutor's Office stated.
Carter could not offer details as to what transpired between Thomas and the driver that resulted in the bus dragging him along the street as the matter remains under investigation.
