Remembering NJ Transit Victim Killed In Paterson By Their Murdest Train Engineer

A person was fatally struck in Paterson by the Main Line train during the early hours of Saturday near Market Street Bridge, NJ Transit officials said.
At about 2:18 a.m., the train hit the unidentified male, just west of the Paterson train station, said NJ Transit spokesperson Lisa Orrick. 
About 35 customers and crew were on board. No injuries were reported on the train. The NJ Transit Police Department is investigating the incident. 


Orrick said the Main Line train departed from Hoboken at 1:32 a.m. and was expected to arrive in Suffern, New York, at 2:41 a.m.

Remembering  Adeline Derephonse, age 53, of Irvington, NJ who was killed by Coach USA bus driver  The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a bus in South Orange on May 21 has been identified as Adeline Derephonse, age 53, of Irvington, NJ. The incident is being investigated by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the South Orange Police Department. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is active. Derephonse was stuck while in the intersection of South Orange Avenue and Valley Street in South Orange Village Center and pronounced dead on the scene. According to Thomas Fennelly of the ECPO, “The incident occurred at the intersection of South Orange Avenue and Valley Street. A female pedestrian was struck by a Coach USA bus.
