  Remember 88-year-old woman Killed By  An NJ Transit train in Bergen County on Sep. 13, 2022 Authorities have identified the  pedestrian stuck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train  Monday near the Westwood station as an 88-year-old woman . Cecile Archer, of Westwood, was hit by a Pascack Valley line train at 9:47 a.m. in the area of Broadway and Jefferson Avenue, a New Jersey Transit spokesman said. The train was en route to Spring Valley, New York from Hoboken. Service was suspended for about three hours and substitute bus service was provided. New Jersey Transit police are still investigating how Archer ended up on the tracks.  

 Remember A Man struck and killed by NJ Transit train coming from Bay Head near Spring Lake station on December 16, 2022 SPRING LAKE−A pedestrian was struck and fatally injured by an NJ Transit train late Thursday just south of the borough train station, transit officials said. The North Jersey Coast Line train 4398 had left Bay Head at 11:34 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Long Branch at 12:13 a.m., NJ Transit spokeswoman Anjali Hemphill said. The collision occurred at 11:50 p.m. near where the tracks cross Ocean Road, Hemphill said. Their were six people on board at the time, none injured, she said. It was the last train from Bay Head to Long Branch for the day. The man's name has not been released since next of kin have not been notified, she said.

The victim was hit by a NJ Transit bus, according to the inquiry; the bus and its driver were discovered in Howell later that evening, he said.  Remember  Cherry Hill Man Killed by an NJ TRANSIT Bus at Route 70 and King’s Highway A Cherry Hill man died in a rear-end collision with an NJ TRANSIT bus, and several other passengers were evaluated for injuries in a Friday evening highway crash. The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. on Route 70 westbound at the intersection of King’s Highway in Cherry Hill. Cherry Hill Police Chief Robert Kempf said the driver of a 2012 Toyota Scion collided with the rear of the bus, which had been stopped at a light. The driver of the vehicle, an as-yet-unidentified, 63-year-old Cherry Hill man, was killed upon impact.
