  NJ TRANSIT POLICE SEEK PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING MAN STRUCK BY TRAIN IN MILLBURN LAST WEEK November 22, 2011 NJT-11-085 NEWARK, NJ —  The NJ TRANSIT Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a man struck and fatally injured by a Morris & Essex Lines train last week.    The incident occurred at Millburn Station on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at approximately 6 p.m.   The following is a description of the man:   White male Short dark hair, clean-shaven Eyes:    gray Age:    approximately 50 years Height:    5’9” Weight:    240 lbs.   The man was wearing a blue denim button-down shirt, tan pants, black leather coat and white/black New Balance sneakers (size 11).   Anyone with information is asked to call NJ TRANSIT Police at 1-888-TIPS-NJT or 973-378-6565.    Please refer to Case #11-10640.

Remember NJ Transit Woman Victim Killed By Their Deadly Train Engineer along Northeast Corridor line on Jan 27, 2021 NJ.com   A woman was struck and killed by a  New Jersey Transit  train in Middlesex County on Tuesday night, officials said. She was hit by Northeast Corridor train 3959 at 6:50 p.m. just west of the Metuchen station, according to New Jersey Transit. Her identity was not available, pending family notification. The train, which had about 100 passengers and crew members aboard, left New York Penn Station at 6:12 p.m. and was due in Trenton at 7:35 p.m.

Mangold of Bardonia, New York was killed by NJ Transit Train in Neptune  on Monday,    Feb 16, 2021 NEPTUNE, NJ - A New York man was pronounced dead on Monday after being struck by a Long Branch-bound New Jersey Transit train in Neptune, officials said. Stephen B. Mangold, 54, of Bardonia, New York was struck and fatally injured at approximately 11:50 a.m. near 11th Avenue and Main Street in Neptune, a New Jersey Transit official told Patch. The train departed Bay Head at 11:21 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Long Branch at 12 p.m., the spokesman said. There were approximately 60 people on board the train at the time of the incident. NJ: Why do pedestrians keep getting hit by trains? NJ Transit is trying to solve the mystery. Only five states had more pedestrians hit last year. Six passengers were on board during the deadly crash on 4th Street in Fieldsboro, Burlington County. No one on the bus was injured, including the driver. The male pedestrian, whom NJ Transit would not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene. Remember Man Struck And Killed By Jersey City Light Rail Train: NJ Transit On December 7, 2020   JERSEY CITY — A man was struck and killed by a Hudson-Bergen Light Rail train around 12 a.m. on Monday, NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith said. Smith said the man was an adult pedestrian who was struck west of the Danforth Avenue stop. As of Monday morning, the man's age was unknown, Smith said. He said there were no injuries to the approximately two passengers and operator on the train at that time. The slow-moving train heads along the Jersey City waterfront between Bayonne and Liberty State Park, then can connect to Jersey City's financial district, Hoboken, and north. HBLR service was temporarily suspended in both directions between Danforth Avenue and Richard Street, but has since resumed, Smith said. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.  Remember Man struck and killed by New Jersey Transit train A man was fatally struck by a New Jersey Transit train at the station in Paterson early Wednesday, authorities said. The unidentified victim was struck by a train on the Main/Bergen line around 2 a.m., an NJT spokesperson said. Three transit employees were on the train at the time with no passengers on board, officials said. The train originated in Hoboken and was heading to Suffern, N.Y. Authorities were investigating the incident Wednesday morning.
