NJ Transit train hits pedestrian in Montclair; man seriously injured


A NJ Transit train struck a pedestrian near the Upper Montclair station Wednesday afternoon, an agency spokesperson confirmed.

The man survived but was seriously injured, said Paul Milo of NJ Transit. He was rushed to a hospital after colliding with the outbound train shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Transit police continue to investigate the incident. 

Service was suspended along the Montclair-Boonton Line throughout the township's seven stations but quickly resumed with 45-minute delays.
