RED BANK - Transit officials have identified the female pedestrian who was struck and killed by a North Jersey Coast Line train near the Red Bank station Saturday as Helen Yang, 35, of Holmdel.
Yang was struck around 8:10 a.m., Saturday as the train, which was headed to Penn Station in New York, approached the station in Red Bank, NJ Transit officials said.
The other 37 passengers and crew members aboard were not injured, according to transit officials.

Yang is the second pedestrian to be struck and killed by a North Jersey Coast Line train in Monmouth County this month.
The man who was struck and killed by a train near the Hazlet station about 4:45 a.m. on Oct. 15 has not yet been identified.
