Remebering Coach USA Murder Victim Christie Noble-Ross

January 23, 2020, marks the very somber date of Christie Nobel- Ross's death! It has been eight years since this 22- year old was struck by a Coach USA bus driver while walking with her then three-year-old son! Christie had no idea that she would be hit by a bus and killed, leaving that son without a mother! The child is now 11 and grew up without the tender loving of his mother!
According to a witness, Christie had a green light to walk, while the bus driver talked on a phone and hit and killed Christie! Speaking on the phone and driving any vehicle is against state law, and thus a mother was removed from her son's life! The accident occurred at 7:00 am near the intersection of Main and Harrison streets in East orange.
Sadly, like many tragedies, this one missed the mass media's attention span and the notice of the community. The death of Christie Noble-Ross was an unacceptable ending of a young mother's life and a baby's loss of a mother with no real coverage of a mishap that could have been prevented by a bus driver! There should have been community coverage and community outrage.
The casualty was an attack on the notion of safe streets for the mother, the child, her family, and her community, where laws must be enforced! As stated above, the child grew up motherless due to the carelessness of the driver! Laws, such as this one, need to be enforced! The mother seems to have been blamed, but the bus driver must bear the responsibility here! That is the tragedy here, as, by all signs, the mother was careful!
Based on a March 4, 2019, law sponsored by our US Senator Menendez, if a passenger assaults a driver, he or she faces severe sanctions with jail time! As of today, there is no law sponsored for any severe penalties with jail time for Coach USA's killing machine bus drivers who murder people like Noble.

There is a double standard, as a bus driver essentially gets an ironic free ride, but if a passenger assaults a bus driver there are harsh sanctions! I am not condoning assault, but pointing out the absurdity of all this
The original case of the mother must be reopened and investigated to get needed justice and a degree of punitive sanctions. A son has lost his mother and a mother, her son!
Coach and other state transit systems like NJ transit need to enforce sanctions on bus staff! We, car drivers, have such sanctions, and fairness must be the rule of all roads and safety always enforced!
It is mind-blowing that Gov. Phil Murphy can pass a law for the impose a permanent ban on flavored vape products but can not pass a law for NJ Transit incompetent bus drivers/train engineers for murdering innocent citizens.
I hope Governor Murphy ensures these road killings are made in New Jersey with further codified laws and safety training! This mother did not need to die!
These deaths by buses like this Coach USA bus drivers is indeed not a rarity in New Jersey! I have been tracking them and this case needs to be opened!
